From love and resistance to rhythm and rage, their words still burn with urgency a century later.
This dynamic, theatrically staged spoken-word program pairs Harlem Renaissance poetry by Black women with the voices of today’s Black women poets—alive, embodied, and present.
First published a century ago and newly brought together from original sources, these poems don’t whisper from the past—they speak straight into the present.
